It’s been a long time since I last wrote an article about this topic, the previous ones being about Bard and Aatrox. Now I take some time to write about the Highest Mastery Sona player: frosty34, an unranked Northern American player with over 4,000,000 mastery points on this champion. We will have some interesting facts to discuss about, so support mains and especially Sona mains, brace yourself!

highest mastery sona

frosty34 is a Sona main who has NEVER played a ranked game on this account(not in this season nor other seasons). In this season he stands at a reasonable 52% win rate(in normal games) with a total of almost 400 games on Sona.

Now, there are a lot of..let’s say strange things that led me to the decision of writing about this Sona main.

Firstly, he takes exhaust as his first summoner spell. Nothing wrong with that. But the second one is TELEPORT. I’m not a pro player but I really don’t understand why you should  take tp on a support, especially on Sona. But it seems that for him is working just fine.

Another interesting fact is about his mastery keystone: Deathfire Touch. In all of his matches he choses this keystone rather than picking Windspeaker’s Blessing, the keystone that is taken by the vast majority of AP supports. This makes me think that I should try it too in my next ARAM matches, for some extra damage XD.

His build is unique as well, in all of his matches opting for a Tear(maybe to make the enemies cry a little bit). Other interesting items that he uses frequently are: Rod of Ages, Iceborn Gauntlet and Spirit Visage. BUT NEVER!!! NEVER! Does he buy a Sightstone, because who needs vision in normal games?!

That was all for today’s post. If you liked it you can share it with your friends or even follow this blog if you like it and help it grow. I would really appreciate it! Also you have some interesting facts about Sona bellow:

Sona has no memories of her true parents.

Sona herself resembles and might have been heavily inspired by Hatsune Miku.

Sona was deemed overpowered/obnoxious for URF in April 2014, and was ultimately disabled in non-custom games.(OP AF xd)

DJ is the first skin in which Sona’s legs can be actually seen.

Jhin sees Sona as a rival performance-wise, stating that his form of art leaves longer, more lasting imprints.
